James Quigley, CEO of one of the largest professional service firms in the nation, told nearly 2,000 graduates at Utah State University Saturday that three simple lessons provided the foundation for his successful career and helped define his life.

Quigley told students during USU's 119th commencement ceremony that lesson one is basic: treat people with respect.

Ag student chosen as Alltech 2008 Young Scientist

Utah State University Animal, Dairy and Veterinary Department student Craig Louder was awarded the 2008 Alltech Young Scientist award April 22 at the 24th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium in Lexington, Ky.

Louder was one of four regional winners who received a $1,000 scholarship and an all-expense paid trip to the symposium to present papers and scientific posters to a panel of judges and compete for a $5,000 scholarship.

Nobel winner to meet with USU students

Dr. Mario R. Capecchi, winner of the 2007 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, will visit Utah State University on Tuesday, May 13, as a guest of the Center for Integrated BioSystems' research student program (CIBR Students).

USU students take projects to Mexico; help children with disabilities

A truck loaded with an indoor jungle gym, toys and books for children with disabilities will pull out from Utah State University on May 24 and head for Manaedero, Mexico and Gabriel House.

The home is an orphanage for children who have disabilities, or who are HIV positive.

'A' plates give back to USU

When Cache Valley residents have the opportunity to give back to Utah State University they shouldn't pass the plate. In fact, they should buy the plate.

The Alumni Association at Utah State University has unveiled the 'A' Plate Campaign in an effort to spread Aggie pride throughout the valley while at the same time provide opportunity to those that want to come to USU but don't have the means.

USU team launches four awards at NASA event

A group of Utah State University engineering students took home four awards out of seven at the NASA rocketry competition in Alabama April 19. The students received "Best Manufacturing and Quality Control," "Most Innovative Payload Design," "Best Design Documentation and Presentation" and "Best Team Spirit.

Salt Lake City - May 2, 2008 - Utah State University won the Salt Lake City Marathon Melee challenge by recruiting the most students, faculty, staff and alumni from their school to participate in marathon events.

The Marathon Melee was a competition to see which Utah school could recruit the most participants in the marathon, half-marathon, 5K and bike tour races.

Utah State head men's basketball coach Stew Morrill announced Friday that Brian Green (Fruit Heights, Utah) has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Aggies beginning in the 2010-2011 season. The 5-11, 170-pound guard just completed his sophomore season at Salt Lake Community College in Utah and will serve a two-year LDS Church Mission before enrolling at USU.

Utah State head men's basketball coach Stew Morrill announced Friday that Stavon Williams (Minneapolis, Minn.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Aggies beginning in the 2008-2009 season. The 6-4, 190-pound guard just completed his sophomore season at San Jacinto Junior College in Houston, Texas and will have two years of remaining eligibility with USU.

USU Football Hosting Big Blue Little Aggie Football Camp

Utah State head football coach Brent Guy and the USU football program will be conducting the Big Blue Little Aggie Football Camp June 16-18 from 9:30 a.m. - Noon each day at the Stan Laub Indoor Training Center.
